The project situated in the remote reaches of the Rift Valley measured 51 km.
The road project was located in Marakwet District of the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The road started at Chesoi at the junction with D340 and ended at Chesegon centre along the B4 road to Marich Pass.
The project comprised of designing and construction of a new roads with drainage structures, a ten metre span bridge and eight box culverts, site clearance and earth works, excavation and filling of structures, reconstruction and replacement of collapsed or blocked culverts. Other works included continuous ditches along the length of the road and gravelling with 200mm thick gravel wearing course.
Major works executed comprised mainly of:
